with disabilities purchase equipment necessary for access to essential, basic telephone
In 1993, the Wisconsin legislature created the Universal
Service Fund to assure that all Wisconsin residents can make use of telecommunication services
affordably and equally. The program, which is supported by funds from all Wisconsin
telephone service providers, includes TEPP and other consumer opportunities.
