Submitting Your CRS Service Plan Packet ElectronicallyReturn to the 1915(i) Community Recovery Services (CRS), Consumer Application Packet Guidance Home Page Electronic Submission ProcessIMPORTANT NOTE: Sending personal health information via regular email is a violation of HIPAA laws and the federal HITECH Act! The submission of consumer service plan packets can be done quickly and securely through the use of encrypted email. The state's email encryption system requires first-time users to register, but the benefit of securely sharing protected health information via email is well worth this small effort, and extends beyond merely submitting service plan packets. The links below will enable care managers to submit their CRS service plan packets, re-certification packets, and emails securely, even if their local information system does not support this functionality. In order to minimize administrative burden, the Department requires those wishing to submit CRS service plan packets electronically to utilize the State's email encryption process. Unencrypted submissions, or submissions utilizing other encryption products will not be accepted. Special Note: If your county or tribe is among those on the Transport Layer Security (TLS) list, you already have a HIPAA-secure connection, and may submit service plans as attachments to your normal email. Be sure to use the "Send Secure" option if available on your toolbar. Follow These Easy Steps:Step 1 - Get the Know-How:
Step 2 - Get Registered:By clicking on the following link, you can request an encrypted email from CRS. Simply type "Send Encrypted Email" in the subject line. When the return email arrives, follow the steps contained therein to create your account. Step 3 - Begin Submitting Service Plan Packets Securely:For each service plan packet that you'd like to submit, click on the following link and request a "Starter Bot" encrypted email from CRS. Upon receipt of the starter bot, simply reply with the service plan packet to be submitted attached. Although we prefer .pdf files, we can also accept Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel documents. Signature pages may be sent separately via U.S. Mail if you are not able to convert them to an electronic format. The CRS Team will reply back to acknowledge the receipt of your service plan. The date of your email will be the official date of receipt of the service plan unless you are mailing copies of the signature pages. In this case, the date of receipt of the signature pages will be the official date of receipt. The Department will not approve a plan until all signature pages are received.
