SECURITY UNITS
Secure
Assessment and Treatment Unit (SATU)
The primary admission unit for court ordered adult male forensic patients.
The unit provides treatment to restore patients to competency and evaluation
of patients’ competency to stand trial. Other functions include the initial
observation period for assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients who
require a high level of security.
Management
and Treatment Unit (MTU)
A specialized unit for the management and treatment of acutely aggressive
adult male patients.
Patient
Transition Unit (PTU)
A maximum security unit for male forensic patients who have serious mental
illnesses, and who continue pose a significant security and safety risk to
themselves or others. The unit provides ongoing assessment and treatment
designed to step down patients from maximum to medium security.
Treatment-Rehabilitation-Assessment-Care
Unit #1 (TRAC 1)
A maximum security unit for male forensic patients who have serious mental
illnesses, who continue to pose a significant security and safety risk to
themselves or others, and who may have a coexisting medical issue needing
special care. The unit provides ongoing assessment and treatment designed to
step down patients from maximum to medium security.
