Social Security Offices

People who receive Supplemental Security Income (people 65 years and older and people with disabilities who meet Social Security’s financial requirements) are automatically covered under Wisconsin Medicaid. These people may apply for Supplemental Security Income at the nearest federal Social Security office. To set up an appointment, they may call the toll-free number 1-800-772-1213 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. (TDD: 1-800-325-0778) or contact one of the offices below.

Please Note: New Social Security Field Office Hours

• Beginning November 19, 2012, the Social Security offices listed below will be closed to the public 30 minutes early each day. For example, an office that is usually open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm will close daily at 3:00 pm; and
• Beginning January 02, 2013, the Social Security offices listed below will be closed to the public at 12:00 pm on Wednesdays.

These changes will allow Social Security employees, who will continue to work their regular hours, to complete interviews and claims work.
