Department of Health Services to Hold Medicaid
Town Hall Meeting in Kimberly

MADISON—The purpose of this town hall is for the Department of Health Services to receive input from consumers, community partners, and providers on efficiencies and cost-savings related to the state's Medical Assistance programs. These ideas will help the Department of Health Services develop plans aimed at improving overall consumer care, streamlining program delivery and stabilizing programs to ensure long-term sustainability.

Individuals who are interested in testifying will have up to three minutes to share their cost-saving ideas. Those who would like to share their ideas and do not wish to testify are encouraged to submit their written testimony at the meeting.

The Department of Health Services is looking for cost-saving and efficiency ideas on all Medical Assistance programs, including SeniorCare, BadgerCare Plus, Family Care, IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) and other long-term care programs.

** People needing special accommodations to attend or participate in the meeting should notify the Department of Health Services at 608-266-9622 (TTY 888-701-1250) on or before April 26, 2011.
