RENEE O’DAY NAMED ASSISTANT DEPUTY SECRETARY

MADISON—Today Department of Health Services (DHS) Secretary Kitty Rhoades announced the appointment of Renee O’Day as Assistant Deputy Secretary effective September 16, 2013.

“Renee’s energy and experience will be a tremendous asset to our department at this exciting time,” said Secretary Rhoades, “I’m thankful that she has decided to join my team once again, returning to the workforce after taking some time to care for her family. I am familiar with Renee’s work and her work ethic and I am thrilled to have her back.”

O’Day previously served as a legislative aide for then Representative Rhoades where she was a liaison between constituents and various state government agencies. Prior to that, she worked in Lieutenant Governor Margaret Farrow’s office as her scheduler.

Her legal experience includes working as an Associate Attorney with Crivello Carlson, S.C., where she represented individuals and insurance companies in defending civil lawsuits, including products liability, property damage and personal injury matters.

In addition, O’Day currently serves as a Compass Steering Committee Member at St. Monica Parish and has held several leadership positions within various committees of the Junior League of Milwaukee, an organization of women whose mission is to train volunteers for community service.

O’Day is a 1999 graduate of University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Bachelor of Science in economics. She received her law degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Law in 2006.
