The purpose of this Request for Bid (RFB) is to solicit a contractor to perform federally required Pre-Admission Screens and Resident Reviews (PASARR) to evaluate current and prospective nursing home residents in Wisconsin on behalf of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Using this bidding process, the Department plans to contract with a contractor for a team of professionals to conduct preadmissions screens and resident reviews (PASARR) for prospective and current nursing home residents who have a serious mental illness or a developmental disability .

This procurement is for services for defendants who have been committed to the Department of Health Services for treatment to become competent to proceed with their criminal case.

These services include but are not limited to: case management; evaluation of clients; educational training with individual clients and in groups relating to issues of competency to proceed; medication prescription, monitoring and management; court testimony; coordination with the courts in terms of reporting violations of program requirements; etc.

Conditional Release Case Management Services for Milwaukee and Western Regions

This procurement is for services for clients who have been committed to the Department of Health Services as Not Guilty by Reason of Mental Disease or Defect and placed by courts in our communities on conditional release.

These services include but are not limited to: case management; service coordination with State Probation and Parole agents and subcontracted service providers; providing treatment (planning, implementation, evaluation and submission of reports to the court); billing for services; prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications; symptom management; providing assurances that psychotropic medications are being taken as prescribed; psychosocial rehabilitation; activities of daily living training; supported employment; securing appropriate housing arrangements; assisting clients with problem solving; money management skill development; advocacy and resource procurement (affordable housing, day services, financial benefits, etc.).

This RFB includes the Milwaukee and Western Regions.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is seeking Request for Proposal(s) (RFP(s)) to procure consultant services for the program evaluations of Wisconsin’s two Section 1115 Medicaid Demonstration Waivers; BadgerCare Plus for Families and BadgerCare for Childless Adults Waivers. The Demonstration Waivers allow Wisconsin to test certain provisions found under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). DHS is required to submit final evaluations of its BadgerCare Plus for Families and BadgerCare Plus for Childless Adults programs to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) no later than August 31, 2014.

Prisoner Reintegration Program

Interested parties are invited to prepare and submit a grant proposal to the Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (DMHSAS) for the provision of a prisoner reintegration program to assist adult, Milwaukee County, offenders return to the community post incarceration. The grant award will include the provision of supportive, rehabilitative and mentoring activities and programming to prepare and assist individuals return to Milwaukee County as productive members of the community.

Public Health Information Campaign to Address Minority Health

Private, nonprofit corporations are invited by the Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health, Minority Health Program, to prepare and submit proposals to conduct a public health information campaign that addresses the Healthiest Wisconsin 2020 crosscutting goal of eliminating health disparities and achieving health equity.

The grant award will require completion of the following three components:

  • A statewide summit, developed in cooperation with the Minority Health Program, with implementation including minority group member participation and interaction
  • A narrative discussing health disparities in Wisconsin minority groups
  • An educational campaign on minority health

Wisconsin Hospital Emergency Preparedness Program - Information Sharing & Patient Tracking System

Consumer/Peer Support and Statewide/Community Leadership Development

Interested parties are invited to prepare and submit a grant proposal to the Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (DMHSAS) for the provision of services to develop, sustain and enhance adult mental health consumer peer support and local and statewide leadership in the State of Wisconsin. Proposals must be submitted by qualified applicants which are defined as:

Public or non-profit organizations that are community based and consumer directed with a board representation of at least fifty-one percent consumers with mental health disorders. Such agencies or organizations should have experience with coordinating or providing peer support and individual and system advocacy, and have capacity for provision of services statewide. DMHSAS intends to use the results of this process to award a grant to support the establishment, enrichment, and coordination of consumer/peer support and statewide/community leadership development.

The Department of Health Services/Division of Public Health invites interested local and Tribal health departments to apply for mini-grants supporting progress toward national voluntary accreditation, quality improvement and performance management. These grants are part of a larger CDC funded statewide initiative to improve the delivery and impact of public health services. Approximately $275,000 is available.
