Public Health Nutrition Challenge Grant - The
Division of Public Health and the dietetic programs of Wisconsin
have been funded by an USDA challenge grant to develop a website that
will assist dietetic students find meaningful work experience in the
area of public health. The purpose of the website is to match agencies
who want the expertise or enthusiasm an undergraduate level dietetic
student can provide as you or your agency try and accomplish a
nutrition intervention or assessment. The goal of the project is to
utilize the website to match students with public health agencies that
would be willing to provide a valuable public health experience. A
request for a student can be for one day training for your staff,
participating in a local health coalition or even assisting in
collecting nutrition data for a county report. For more information
please see the website at http://app.nutrisci.wisc.edu/
or contact your
regional nutrition consultant.
