September

  • September 10-11 - Functional Assessment Service Team Training (FAST) will be held at the Barry-Wehiller University in Phillips.  The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is leading a statewide initiative to identify, recruit, and train state, regional, and local Functional Assessment Service Teams (FAST) in partnership with American Red Cross, Wisconsin Emergency Management and others to support local and tribal government in sheltering people who have been displaced from their homes during a disaster.   Wisconsin Emergency Management offers this two-day federal Department of Homeland Security-approved course free of charge. The course will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the first day and 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the second day.  Those interested in becoming a FAST member of regional or state teams should plan to attend both days.  In addition, we encourage emergency managers, shelter managers, human services directors or their designee, and others involved with reception centers and community shelters to attend the class for information purposes.  For those having limited time and interested.  Register for the class at:  https://www.trainingwisconsin.org/Schedule.aspx  If you do not have a Wisconsin Emergency Management training accounts, create one via the "Create Account" link on the top right of the page

  • September 12 - Hoarding:  An Integrated Approach will be held at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Weston from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm.  Register and Printable Registration Form. (PDF, 60 KB)

  • September 23 - Northern Region PNCC and MCH SPHERE Users Group Meeting will be held at the Northern Regional Office Conference Center in Rhinelander from 8:45 am - 3:45 pm.  Registration will be available on Train https://wi.train.org

  • September 24 - Women's Health-Family Planning-Reproductive Health (WH-FP/RH) Program Annual Business Meeting will be held at the Jefferson Street Inn in Wausau. 

  • September 25-26 - 18th Annual Intervention Conference:  Through Their Eyes:  Persevering Toward Resilience will be held at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells.  Sponsored by:  Mental Health America of Wisconsin, Northwest Connections, The Charles E. Kubly Foundation and University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point.  A conference brochure and online registration will be available in early July at www.uwsp.edu/conted/confwrkshop

  • September 30 - Southeast Region Community of Practice will be held at the Wauwatosa Civic Center.  Topic:  Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI): Find Solutions Quicker with Kaizen.  Registration will be on the TRAIN https://wi.train.org (Course ID #1052025).  For additional information, please contact W.   • November 5-6 - Maternal Child Health Wisconsin Healthy Family Initiative/Keeping Kids Alive Summit will be held in Wisconsin Dells.  Please see the Save the Date for more information.  (PDF, 128 KB)
