What is it?
The WI PHIN Analysis, Visualization, and Reporting (AVR) provides the
ability to integrate, analyze, display, report and map data as well as
share data and technologies for analysis and visualization with other
public health partners.
Why do we need it?
The Wisconsin PHIN AVR provides tools for data reporting, statistical analysis,
and spatial analysis using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other
visualization, display and mapping functions through the implementation of
commercial off the shelf software (COTS). The specific products used are
the SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Server and ESRI's ArcGIS Server.
These software tools will allow system users to leverage public health
data, turning it into information that can be readily used for decision
making.
What data is available?
AVR is a secure web-based application requiring a user ID and password.
Two types of data are available to registered AVR users: general use and
restricted. General use data is available to all AVR users and is not
subject to strict confidentiality requirements. Restricted data is
sensitive in nature and access must be granted by a data steward
knowledgeable about the confidentiality requirements of a particular
dataset.
