Are you a painter, photographer, collage artist, potter,
woodworker, beadworker, or other artist?
We've received many positive comments about the
artwork displayed on the 7th, 6th, B1 and B2 floors, and in
the display cabinet on the 1st floor of 1 West Wilson Street,
Madison, Wisconsin.
Call for Artists Highlights
We use an "open call for artists" process to
solicit new artwork at 1 West Wilson Street.
There is no deadline. Submit your art proposal when you have
artwork available for display. Use these quick links for more

Who can apply?
People who have a connection to the Department of Health Services
(DHS): DHS employees; residents or patients of DHS-operated facilities; or
family and friends of DHS employees.
What type of art will be displayed?
We are looking for art that portrays a positive, uplifting message.
We accept all kinds of two- and three-dimensional media, such as
paintings, photographs, collages, drawings, bead work, woodworking,
sculptures, pottery, etc.
What display periods are available?

What are the application requirements?
Interested eligible artists need to electronically submit an

What is the review and selection process?
- The Art Display Committee will review all proposals electronically
received.
- The Committee reserves the right to refuse or limit any works submitted.
- The Committee will electronically notify each applicant as to
whether their proposal was accepted or not.
