Wisconsin's
Elderly Nutrition Program
ADDITIONAL FOOD, MEALS AND NUTRITION INFORMATION
EAT WITH A GROUP
Call your County or Tribal Aging Office to find
out the locations in your community where you can join other seniors for a nutritious meal
served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Newcomers are welcome.
Call to learn how to
volunteer with the meal program as well. Special diets are provided upon medical
recommendation. Donations are encouraged.
RECEIVE A MEAL AT HOME
This program is for people age 60 or older who are homebound
due to health reasons, and physically or emotionally unable to travel for a meal with
others. It is for those who are unable to obtain food and prepare nutritious meals for
themselves on a daily basis. Meals are delivered by sensitive, caring persons, many of
them volunteers, who are concerned with the well-being of each participant.
Call the County or Tribal
Aging Office to apply. The home-delivered meal program coordinator will make a home visit
to explain how the program works and to determine eligibility.
