Announcing NEW Learning Opportunities

The State of Wisconsin’s Office for the Blind and Visually Impaired is pleased to announce two training events planned during 2013, to be held at the Wisconsin Lions Camp in Rosholt.

June 11-13, 2013, the ever-popular summer recreational camp for blind and low vision adults, mini courses will be offered to interested campers in such topics as adaptive cooking, arts and crafts, computer technology, and resource sharing. Skilled Rehabilitation staff from the Office for the Blind and Visually Impaired will be trekking to the north woods to offer these mini-courses.

September 8-13, 2013, the Office for the Blind and Visually Impaired staff, with assistance from Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired staff, will offer a week-long training event for individuals NEW to vision loss. Adventures in Vision Loss 2013: Learning to Do Things Differently.

For more information on these programs, please contact Marge Lebrick or Jim Unger:

These learning opportunities for adults who are blind or visually impaired are a great collaboration between the State of Wisconsin Office for the Blind and Visually Impaired, the Wisconsin Lions Camp, and the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired.
