Responding to Challenging Situations Training
Training Overview:
This class helps direct caregivers understand and develop skills to
deal with the challenging situations often encountered when caring for
persons with dementia and other cognitive disorders. This class also
discusses effective ways to deal with clients whose abilities and needs
change over time. Participants have an opportunity to actively participate
in identifying person-centered approaches to common challenging
situations. In addition, the class offers stress reduction and relaxation
techniques for caregivers.

- Learning Stress Reduction and Relaxation Techniques
Training Logistics:
The full training is about 6 hours in length but can be broken into
four shorter segments of roughly 90 minutes each.
