Birth to 3 Program Payment for Services
Birth to 3 programs are funded through a variety of funding sources. The federal
government provides funding through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
Part C. The state of Wisconsin provides funding to the county you live in. Families
that are in the Birth to 3 Program are asked to provide access to bill their
insurance company. Some county Birth to 3 Programs have other funding sources such
as grants, fundraisers, or agency funds.
In Wisconsin, we have a Parental Cost Share System where parents, who are determined able
financially, share in the cost of early intervention services for their child. If your child
might be eligible for BadgerCare Plus, Medicaid, or
Katie Beckett programs, you will be asked to apply.
