Birth to 3 Program: Program Costs

Birth to 3 Programs are funded in several ways. The federal government gives funds through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Part C. The state of Wisconsin gives funds to the county you live in. Families that are in the Birth to 3 Program are asked to let us bill their insurance company if they have one.

Some county Birth to 3 programs have other funding sources such as:

  • Grants
  • Fundraisers
  • Agency funds

In Wisconsin, we have a Parental Cost Share System. Caregivers who are financially able are asked to share the cost of services for their child.

You will be asked to apply to Medicaid programs if your child might be eligible for them, such as:

  • BadgerCare Plus
  •  Medicaid
  • Katie Beckett Medicaid
