Birth to 3 Program State Performance Plan
The State Performance Plan (SPP) for FFY
2005-2012 (PDF, 707 KB) was originally submitted on
December 2, 2005 to the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) and amended in April
2012. This
is a federally-required plan that is reviewed and approved, or modified, by the DOE
Secretary. The states are required to include:
- baseline data that reflect the state’s efforts to implement Part C of
the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA);
- measurable and rigorous targets for the next six years for each of
the indicators established by the DOE Secretary in the priority areas under
section 616(a) of the IDEA; and
- activities the state will undertake to improve implementation of Part C.
The DOE Secretary, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), informed Wisconsin on
March 20, 2006 that Wisconsin's SPP under Part C met the requirements of section 616(b)
to include measurable and rigorous targets and improvement activities. This letter and
related comments may be viewed on OSEP's
web site (exit DHS).
