State Grievance Examiner

Applies to: Anyone who is receiving services for mental illness, a developmental disability, or substance abuse on a inpatient or outpatient basis (other than from a state-operated facility) in the state of Wisconsin .

The State Grievance Examiner (SGE) is Laura O'Flanagan of the Client Rights Office. The SGE conducts Level III reviews of client rights grievances that have been through the first levels of the DHS 94 grievance resolution procedure. The SGE also has "original jurisdiction" to review issues of a provider's compliance with the provisions of Subchapter III of DHS 94 (exit DHS; PDF).
