Mission Statement
The mission of the Community Relations Team is to increase
the capacity of communities to serve people with developmental
disabilities. The team does this by providing counties, community
agencies and families/guardians with consultation, technical assistance and
training.
Community Relations Team Services
Services are provided to benefit Center residents and their
families, persons participating in MA Waiver programs such as CIP1A and
CIP1B, and other adults with developmental disabilities who may be at risk
for institutional placement. There is no charge for the services.
Team members provide:

Consultation to resolve behavioral or medical issues

Staff training and development

Pre-placement planning

Transition assistance

Post-placement support
-
Technical assistance
Services can be accessed by calling the Director or a
Community Relations Team member. County staff and appropriate MA
Waiver staff will be notified of all client-specific requests.
