Intensive In-Home Autism Services
The following rate structure for children receiving intensive
in-home autism services is effective as of January 1, 2006.
Approved intensive in-home autism service hours for each child
include: travel time, direct service time from paraprofessional and
professional staff, and collateral child specific staffing time.
All hours of service delivered, including travel time, direct
service time from paraprofessional and professional staff, and
collateral staffing time will be paid at a rate of $22.50 per hour.
Only those hours that are actually delivered will be paid; hours
will be paid for services delivered up to the approved limit of
hours per week per child.
Prior to January 1, 2006, a set weekly rate was paid as long as a
child received at least 90% of the hours upon which the rate was
paid, over the course of a month. This change creates a standard
rate per hour rather than the slightly variable rate used in the
previous weekly rate structure. This will ensure more accurate
billing of service hours as defined above and will ensure cost
efficiency by only reimbursing actual hours delivered.
