Outreach Materials

These outreach materials were developed by health departments from six of the Great Lakes States.  Funding was provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Great Lakes National Program Office.

Illinois 

• "A Tale of Two Fishing Friends" (PDF, 9.5 MB) A coloring and activity book for kids.

Indiana

• Purdue Fish For Your Health Wallet Card  (exit DHS) 

• A Woman's Guide to Eating Indiana Fish  (exit DHS; PDF, 403 KB) A two page flyer on fish consumption in Indiana.

Minnesota

• Minnesota fish consumption guidelines in Spanish, Vietnamese, and Hmong (exit DHS) 

• Minnesota’s project involved assessing and improving FCA outreach with the Hmong community. The projected culminated with the production of a Hmong language DVD, “Talk about Fish and Way of Eating Fish” and a subsequent project report (exit DHS).

Michigan

• Manistique River outreach information: family guide, fish signs, poster, fish cleaning
    instructions. (exit DHS) 

• Detroit area fish information:  brochures, information on catfish, signage in area. (exit DHS)
