What is Assisted Living? from the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA). WALA is a state affiliate of the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA). ALFA represents over 7,000 for-profit and not-for-profit providers of assisted living, continuing care retirement communities, independent living and other forms of housing and services.

Wisconsin Affordable Assisted Living is an initiative funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and led by the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services with technical support from NCB Development Services. Their site includes a consumer information page.
