Wisconsin Veterans

- The U.S. Department of Veterans
Affairs has information on health benefits that may be available to you.
- TRICARE is a health
plan run by the U.S. Department of Defense serving Uniformed Service members, retirees
and their families worldwide.
- CHAMPVA is
a health care benefits program run by the U.S. Department of Veterans
Affairs for the dependents of veterans who are not eligible for
TRICARE. It is available to spouses, widows/widowers, and children of
veterans who have been killed or permanently disabled due to a
service-related incident while on active duty.
- The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs administers the
Assistance to Needy Veterans Grant program,
which provides limited financial assistance to those in need and who have exhausted all other sources
of aid. The grants may be used for specified health care and subsistence needs up to maximum grant
limits.
- The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs has information on
financing the cost of care at Wisconsin Veterans
Homes.
