Other DHS Programs
In the Division of Public Health, the following program are partners with a direct relationship to the HDSP program, sharing many of the same prevention efforts. Diabetes and heart disease share most of the same risk factors, and most diabetics develop heart disease. The use of tobacco, primarily from smoking, is directly linked to vascular disease and hypertension, both forms of cardiovascular disease.
