Wisconsin
Interactive Statistics on Health (WISH) is
a web-based data system which includes injury related hospitalizations,
emergency department visits and deaths. The system can be queried by
demographics (age, sex, race, ethnicity), geographic area (statewide,
county, State Health Regions, Regional Trauma Advisory Councils), and by
specific injury causes and manner of injury.
The
Wisconsin Violent Death Reporting System (WVDRS) is based on the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention’s National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS). Wisconsin
is one of 17 states funded by CDC to begin NVDRS. WVDRS is a statewide surveillance system that collects detailed
information on all homicides, suicides, deaths of undetermined intent,
deaths resulting from legal intervention, and deaths related to
unintentional firearm injuries. Wisconsin

intervention, and evaluation.
CASEPOINT, the
Medical Examiner/Coroner Electronic Reporting System Software provides
real time, standardized, web-based electronic data entry and access on
site. CASEPOINT has the ability to release real-time injury related data
to agencies throughout the state. A
plan to integrate CASEPOINT and WVDRS is being developed.
