The Worksite Wellness Resource Kit (rev. Dec. 2010)  A tool to assist worksites with implementing strategies that have been proven to be effective.  The kit walks you through the process of developing a worksite wellness program.

LEAN Works! A free resource for worksites from CDC

LEANWorks! - The CDC website provides a variety of resources to employers including:
  • An obesity cost-calculator where employers can input employee demographic data to estimate the total costs associated with obesity and determine annual obesity-related medical costs for their companies.
  • Information and resources to help employers plan, build, promote, and assess interventions to combat obesity.
  • Information on how employers can estimate return on investment, a measure of the cost of an intervention compared to the expected financial return of the intervention.

A summary of recent pilot work done in multiple worksites is available in the Healthier Wisconsin Worksite Initiative - 2007 Summary Report.  Two accompanying documents that list general information on what strategies were piloted in local communities are posted below.  The pilot initiatives were funded by a Healthy Lifestyles (Cancer) grant and a Healthier Wisconsin Worksite Initiative (National Governor's Association) grant.
