Healthy Birth Outcomes:
Eliminating Racial and Ethnic Disparities
Framework for Action

A Framework for Action to Eliminate Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Birth Outcomes discusses the impact of infant mortality and its disparate burden among Wisconsin's racial and ethnic communities.

Three areas of emphasis are delineated:

  • Build and strengthen community capacity;
  • Expand access to and availability of high-quality services; and
  • Improve accountability.

To accomplish these goals, we have outlined a series of strategies and action steps for state, local, and community partners. As we develop and work on each of these activities, we will provide periodic updates.
