- Birthing Project USA: An international organization and
resource center for improving birth outcomes for women of color.
- The Center for Urban Population Health was established in 2001 as a partnership
of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Aurora Health Care, and the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee's College of Health Sciences. The Center's mission is to conduct and facilitate original population
health research and educational initiatives that improve the health of urban communities through collaboration with
academic and community organizations. The research program is population-focused and community-based, with a health
and wellness perspective and a strong commitment to cultural diversity. The Center's research programs focus on projects
that address the health needs of women and children, the aging population, minority groups, and the economically
disadvantaged.

for society's most vulnerable, including low-income people, the uninsured, minority Americans, young children,

first year. The service sends important health tips that are timed to the mother's stage

is a multi-disciplinary program
of the David Geffen School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, and the UCLA School of Public Health, with faculty
participation from the UCLA School of Public Policy and Social Research, School of Law, and the College of Letters
and Sciences. The Center's mission is to improve society's ability to provide children with the best opportunities
