Risk of Lead Poisoning by Age of Housing
in Wisconsin
Children who live in old housing where lead-based paint
is more prevalent are at greater risk for lead poisoning than children
who live in newer housing. In Wisconsin 90% of children who are lead
poisoned have been shown to live in homes that were built before
1950.
