DHS DEPUTY SECRETARY MARK THOMAS TO RESIGN

Opportunities
MADISON— The Wisconsin Department of Health
Services (DHS) announced today that Deputy Secretary Mark Thomas has
announced his resignation in order to pursue other employment
opportunities. Deputy Secretary Thomas has served the state since
September of 2008.
"Mark Thomas has been a tremendous asset to our team and will be
missed," said DHS Secretary Karen Timberlake. "Mark has
spearheaded critical initiatives like improving the timeliness and
accuracy of service for Medicaid and FoodShare recipients in Milwaukee and
reducing overtime costs across our department. He has been an outstanding
leader, coworker and ambassador for our Department and our state. We wish
him all the best in his future endeavors."
Deputy Secretary Thomas' last day will be Friday, June 11, 2010.
