Current Grants and Projects
The Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity Program provides grants
to local groups when funds are available. The funds are used to help
implement the Wisconsin Nutrition and Physical Activity State Plan to
accomplish the overall goal of preventing obesity and chronic disease.
Wisconsin CHANGE for Healthy Communities
In October 2012, the Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity (NPAO)
Program at the Wisconsin Division of Public Health awarded grants for
community coalitions and partnership groups. The Wisconsin CHANGE for
Healthy Communities (WCHC) Project is funding 12 Wisconsin communities at
approximately $10,000 for assessment, partnership building, and action
planning.
