Medical Reserve Corps

The Dane County Medical Reserve Corps Unit began as a component of the Citizen Corps Council of Dane County, which was established in July of 2006 by County Executive Kathleen Falk. Currently the Dane County MRC is an umbrella structure that receives its direction from the City of Madison/Dane County Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) Steering Committee. The MRC contains five sections (i.e., Citizen Corps, Medical, Mental Health Response Team (MHRT), Dane Fatality Incident Response Support Team (D-FIRST - for mass casualties) and Animal Response, each of which will be responsible for maintaining its own policies, procedures and guidelines that support their particular mission.
