Minority Health Mini-Grants
RFA # G1676-DPH
The Minority Health Program is charged with identifying the barriers to health care that prevent economically disadvantaged minority group members in this state from participating fully and equally in all aspects of life; partnering with public and private sector organizations and groups concerned with issues of the health of economically disadvantaged minority group members to develop long-term solutions to health problems of minority group members; and disseminating information on the status of the health of economically disadvantaged minority group members. The Minority Health Mini Grant Program is one of the strategies used by the Minority Health Program to complete this mandate. The Mini Grant Program is targeted to racial/ethnic minority CBOs in Wisconsin. The mini-grants are intended to fund activities that improve the health status of economically disadvantaged minority group members especially African Americans, American Indians, Southeast Asians, and/or Hispanics/Latinos and to eliminate racial/ethnic disparities in health and health care.
