Wisconsin Regional Centers for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN)

RFI # G1677-DPH-BC

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services, through the Division of Public Health, announces the release of approximately $831,550 in funding for 5 Regional Centers for CYSHCN, one per public health region. This funding is available through annual contracts for the grant cycle period beginning January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2015.

The Wisconsin CYSHCN Program directs projects and programs, provides leadership and technical assistance to support the efforts of agencies, provides education and training opportunities for staff and service providers, and provides grants to promote care for Wisconsin children and youth with special health care needs and their families.

Regional Centers for CYSHCN have been in place in Wisconsin for ten years. The Program has worked to establish capacity at state, regional and local levels, and has established a Collaborators Network, which will be expanded in the coming cycle to include additional statewide MCH initiatives. The CYSHCN Collaborators Network is comprised of all entities that receive Wisconsin CYSHCN funds to address the six CYSHCN National Performance Measures.
