Survey and Certification Issues Related to Swine Flu Outbreak 09-33

The purpose of this memo is to introduce revised Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) memo 09-33 regarding Survey and Certification Issues Related to Swine Flu.

On April 28, 2009, CMS reissued Survey and Certification memo 09-33. Presently, the Secretary of the U.S Department of Health and Human Services has not invoked the 1135 wavier authority which would waive or modify survey and certification requirements.

The memo also provides useful Centers for Disease Control and Health and Human Resources web links.
