The mission of ODHHNet is to provide timely and relevant information to individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind, their family members, advocates, professional associates, and public and private agencies.

ODHHNet is published when information is available. It is not published on a regular schedule to avoid sending out material to meet a deadline instead of sending out material that is relevant, useful and timely.

ODHHNet accepts submissions but reserves the right to not publish all submissions. Submissions must be of statewide interest to the above-described audience and must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Relevance

• Timeliness

• Usefulness

• Council-related

• ODHH-related

‘Special’ submissions will be published if the above criteria are met and if the topic matter is appropriate to be distributed by a state agency. ‘Special’ submissions include job announcements and meeting announcements. ‘Special’ submissions that will not be published include:

• those relating to church or faith-based organizations will not be distributed to maintain the separation of church and state

• meeting announcements containing inappropriate language or content

Subscribers to ODHHNet are encouraged to share and forward installments. Individuals wishing to subscribe to ODHHNet should email the list administrator at Carolyn.Small@dhs.wisconsin.gov.
