Wisconsin Interpreting and Transliterating Assessment  Scholarship

Five scholarships will be awarded for the Performance Assessment to one interpreter in each of the five ODHH regions. Scholarships are based on an individual's desire and demonstrated effort to develop their skills and knowledge in the interpreting field.

Requirements:

Candidate must have taken and passed the RID Generalist Written Exam (in the past five years).

Candidate must be a resident of Wisconsin to be considered for a scholarship.

How to apply:

Send a letter to the ODHH Director explaining your personal commitment to developing your skills and knowledge in the interpreting profession. Describe yourself, your background, and your future plans in regard to interpreting.

Enclose a resume that lists your work history and educational background as well as address, phone number, and email (if applicable) with the letter.

Send your letter of application to: ODHH Director, 1 West Wilson Street, Room 558, PO Box 7851, Madison, WI 53707-7851.

Candidates may receive a follow-up call with interview questions. Please let us know where we can contact you during business hours.

Applications received by October 31st will be considered for scholarships to be used the following year.

Scholarship Winners will:

Have one year from the date of scholarship notification to take the WITA Performance Assessment.

Be allowed to take the WITA Performance Assessment at any ODHH regional office.
