Get Help to Stop Smoking
Quitting smoking is hard. Your odds of succeeding
will increase if you have support. Striving to Quit is a special
program to find out how to help BadgerCare Plus and SSI Managed Care members stop smoking.
It offers free help to individuals who smoke and want to quit. It
may also pay for time spent in activities that are part of the program.
Why quit smoking?
There are lots of good reasons to quit smoking, but here are a few to
think about:
-
Money — Smoking one pack a day costs more than
$2,500 a year.
-
Illness — Smoking is bad for your health and
those around you.
-
Loneliness — More people and more places are
going smoke-free.
-
Your Family — Secondhand smoke hurts
kids. And if you're pregnant, quitting smoking gives your baby a
head start to a healthier life.
