OUTCOME DATAOUTCOME DATA FOR NEXUS AND STATEWIDE URBAN / RURAL WOMEN'S AODA TREATMENT PROJECTNEXUS and the Statewide Urban / Rural Women's AODA Treatment Project provides grants for nine family-centered treatment programs have expanded services in key underserved areas throughout the state for women and low-income individuals. NEXUS serves Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) eligible individuals who reside in Milwaukee County, are in need of AODA treatment, and are involved in multiple service systems. The Statewide Urban/Rural Women's AODA Treatment Project serves adult women in need of AODA treatment who are also involved in at least one other formal service system. Priority of treatment services is given to pregnant women. Service sites include women-specific treatment programs in Brown, Chippewa, Dane, Douglas, Eau Claire, Fond du Lac, Forest, Milwaukee, Oneida, Vilas, and Washington Counties. The program design includes using the relational/cultural model and integrated services in the holistic treatment approach. Based on the "no-wrong door" to treatment approach, all families receive a single coordinated care plan that builds on family strengths, is needs driven, and based on the unique values, norms, and preferences of the family, and community. Focus is on the empowerment of women to develop the necessary skills for long-term sobriety, improvement of parenting skills, relationship building, and to encourage education and job skills that promote family self-sufficiency. 2001 NEXUS Data Key Accomplishments:
