Wisconsin Tobacco Prevention and Control Program
School Initiatives
Through collaborations with the Wisconsin Tobacco Prevention and Control
Program, the American Lung Association and other partners, the Wisconsin
Department of Public Instruction (DPI) works with schools in Wisconsin to enhance programs in a number of areas within tobacco control.
The DPI conducts trainings and workshops statewide, and is a critically
important partner in surveying youth tobacco use trends. DPI
scholarship programs also foster leadership and advocacy skills by
empowering Wisconsin youth to assist in the implementation of Wisconsin’s smoke-free air law.
