Retinal Detachment

What is Retinal Detachment?

When a hole or "rip" in the retina allows the inner retina layer to separate from the back layer.

Symptoms of retinal detachment include seeing a shower of black spots or light flashes, or experiencing a curtain-like blotting out of vision. If such symptoms occur, you should immediately consult your ophthalmologist.
