CBDPS: Council Structure and Members

As specified by statute, the Council includes a pediatric nurse or a nurse with expertise in birth defects, a parent or guardian of a child with a birth defect, a representative of a local public health department, and representatives of the following organizations:

• Medical College of Wisconsin
• Program for Children with Special Health Care Needs
• State Medical Society of Wisconsin
• University of Wisconsin Medical School

• Wisconsin Health and Hospital Association

Those marked with a (**) are re-appointments. All appointments are mandated representatives per Wis. Stat. § 15.197 (12), which refers to the Council on Birth Defect Prevention and Surveillance. The first line of each contact refers to the specific statute for that appointment.
