Eligible Professionals

The Wisconsin Medicaid Promoting Interoperability (PI) Program is now closed. The last day eligible professionals could receive an incentive payment was December 31, 2021. This content will remain in place for historical reference until the end of September 2023.

 

Application Process Guide

A step-by-step guide is available to assist Eligible Professionals with completing the Wisconsin Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Program application. This guide can be found in the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) Publications Library.


Eligible Professionals can receive up to $63,750 over six years for adopting, implementing, upgrading, or demonstrating the Meaningful Use of certified EHR technology (CEHRT). The last year for an Eligible Professional to initiate participation in the Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Program was 2016. Eligible Professionals who have not initiated participation in the Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Program before Program Year 2016 are no longer eligible to initiate participation.
