Public Health Nurse Orientation
The Wisconsin Public Health Nurse Orientation Courses consist of five web-delivered modules for orientation of public health nurses. These online courses cover the Wisconsin Public Health Nursing Practice Model and statutory requirements for public health nursing services in Wisconsin. The target audience includes public health nurses, public health nurse managers, nurse educators, nursing students, and other public health staff. Each course is designed to assist participants in gaining the knowledge and skills needed to address new and emerging issues in public health nursing. For more information, contact your Regional Public Health Nurse Consultant. Register for the courses on the TRAIN website and search by the title WPHN Orientation.
Wisconsin local health departments, tribal health departments and the Wisconsin Division of Public Health are learning the value of and preparing for national accreditation.
