A person who wishes to obtain a license as part of a legal intermediate ambulance crew and/or provide services at the EMT-intermediate level.

Description

An individual who is specially trained in emergency cardiac procedures in a training program or course of instruction and who is examined and licensed as an emergency medical technician intermediate.

Duration

All licenses expire on June 30 of even-numbered years regardless of the issue date.

Prerequisites

At least 18 years of age, currently licensed as a Wisconsin EMT-Basic or Intermediate Technician, and no substantially related arrests or convictions.

Required Documentation

Proof of successful completion of an approved EMT-intermediate course; current CPR (for the professional); current ACLS; current PALS or PEPP; and successful completion of the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate written and practical exams.
