Description

An individual who is specially trained in emergency cardiac, trauma, and other lifesaving or emergency procedures in a training program or course of instruction and who is examined and licensed as an emergency medical technician paramedic.

Duration

All licenses expire on June 30 of even-numbered years regardless of the issue date.

Prerequisites

At least 18 years of age, currently licensed as a Wisconsin EMT-basic or higher, and no substantially related arrests or convictions.

Required Documentation

Proof of successful completion of an approved paramedic course; current CPR (for the professional) ACLS; and PALS or PEPP and successful completion of the National Registry written and practical exam.
