Katie Beckett Program
How to Apply

To apply, contact the Katie Beckett Consultant located in the region where the child lives. The Katie Beckett Consultant will explain the program and assist the family in deciding whether or not the Katie Beckett Program is the best Medicaid option for their child. If a parent decides to apply, the Consultant will send an application packet and arrange a home visit to meet the child, go over the application materials and answer any questions.

Eligibility determinations for the Katie Beckett Program are made by nurses employed by the Division of Long Term Care, Bureau of Long Term Support. A required re-certification is done annually or whenever significant changes occur.

Recipients should notify the program of address changes, changes which may affect eligibility, or any problems in getting the Medicaid card by calling (608) 266-3236.
