Medical Services for Children
Children are not small adults. Injured and ill children
have special needs and require a different approach to care than
adults. The goal of EMSC is to improve the quality of emergency care
for children. Program activities are directed to
ensure the availability of appropriate resources and adequately trained
personnel in order to effectively meet the emergency care needs of the
critically ill and injured child.
Program activities are directed by the EMSC Advisory
Board. The Co-Chairpersons of the Advisory Board are:
Michael Kim, MD, FAAP, UW Hospital and Clinics
(Other co-chair position currently vacant)
For further information on EMSC, please contact
