Radon Mitigation for Multifamily

Radon control in multifamily buildings is a new expanding area of
opportunity for radon mitigation professionals. This course parallels
development of an AARST/ANSI standard that specifies practices, minimum
requirements, and guidance for radon mitigation in multifamily buildings of four
or more units. We will discuss building investigation and diagnostics, active
soil depressurization (ASD) and non-ASD mitigation system design and
installation, and post-mitigation system evaluation and documentation. The
course instructor is Professor William J. Angell, Chair of the World Health
Organization’s Radon Prevention and Mitigation Working Group. This course is
pending approval for four hours of NRPP Category 1 CE credits.
