Winnebago Mental Health Institute (WMHI) is a psychiatric hospital owned and operated by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.

Winnebago specializes in serving both male and female children, adolescents and adults with complex psychiatric conditions that are often combined with challenging behaviors. Winnebago provides a secure setting to meet the legal, behavioral, treatment and recovery needs of mental health care consumers.
